"U.S. Embassy Condemns Religious Incitement
September 11, 2012
The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others."

This is the administration's first response to the crisis and I submit its their real feelings, but we're not done yet. The Secretary of State then weighed in:
"Clinton said, “The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. Our commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation.” However, she then added that “there is never any justification for violent acts of this kind.”"
So we apologize to the Muslims, then the Sec State basically doubles down on the apology, but finally gets around to the "...never any justification for violent acts..." acknowledgement. Then finally:
"I strongly condemn the outrageous attack on our diplomatic facility in
Benghazi, which took the lives of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris
Stevens. Right now, the American people have the families of those we lost
in our thoughts and prayers. They exemplified America's commitment to
freedom, justice, and partnership with nations and people around the globe,
and stand in stark contrast to those who callously took their lives."
From our President, the last one at about 8:00am CDT. So now they have the right answer to this attack on our country, but that was not their initial reaction, it was 'we're sorry that a private citizen exercising his First Amendment rights, produced a movie that you don't like'
Conservatives initial response?
"In a statement Tuesday night, Romney said he was outraged by the attacks and the death of the American consulate worker."
And that response has never changed. It was my initial response and still is.
While we're at it, I remember candidate Obama saying this:
' "It's not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations," said then-candidate Obama.'I then looked up the definition of denigrate so I could see what Ms. Clinton said the United States deplores:
den·i·grate/ˈdeniˌgrāt/Verb: Criticize unfairly; disparage: "there is a tendency to denigrate the poor".
If what Mr. Obama said is not denigrating then the attacks on Christianity by Liberal "artists" is definitely, and some of their work is funded by our government.
So kids, this is the difference.
