I love it

Here's what the "progressives" are saying about the teacher strike in Chicago.

http://boldprogressives.org/chicagos-teachers-just-went-on-strike-heres-everything-you-need-to-know-about-why/

Notice the detail I mean lack there of. Its all nice platitudes about not being paid fairly having to work arduous hours for no pay, etc., etc.

Now here's another story that I've seen elsewhere:

http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/316395/chicago-bled-dry-striking-teachers-unions-john-fund#

Teacher's on average make $30K more per year than the parents of the kids they teach, mentioned elsewhere, they have the shortest work day of any school district in the country and are only being asked to put in 30 minutes more per day. Only 15% of fourth graders are proficient in reading and only 56% of students actually graduate. 71% of the money for education in Chicago goes to teacher retirements.

So if you live your life based on emotion, believe the first article, if you like facts to based your decisions/opinions check out the second one.

UPDATE:

From another article:

"Salary figures provided by the Chicago Public Schools show teachers here have the highest average salary of any city in the nation."
